DESCRIPTION |
DESCRIPTION:
AcraClear is a durable, nonyellowing, acrylic
based protective log and wood finish formulated for interior
use. It is fast drying, nonflammable, and has very little odor.
AcraClear beautifies and protects interior wood from common household
chemicals, grease, water, scuffing and abrasion. Product helps
prevent fine dust penetration and makes cleaning easier. Available
in gloss or satin. Its unique formula and clarity make it perfect
for use over natural wood and woods stained with water-based
and oil-based stains. When applying Saver Systems' AcraClear over
light colored oil based stains, slight ambering may occur. Always
spot test on an inconspicuous area and let dry to ensure desired
results. |

FOR USE:
Surface preparation:
Surfaces must be clean and dry. Remove all wax, dirt, dust and
other contaminants. Over New or Bare Wood: Sand
lightly with fine sandpaper (not steel wool) and remove all sanding
dust. Over Stains and Finishes: Clean surfaces
thoroughly. Remove all traces of wax, dirt and old finishes in
poor condition. Sand lightly with fine sandpaper and remove all
sanding dust. Test AcraClear in an inconspicuous area and let
dry to ensure desired results. Do not apply over sanding sealer
or material containing silicone or stearate. Room conditions:
Open windows and doors for adequate air movement. Apply between
50 degrees Fahrenheit and 90 degrees Fahrenheit.
|
APPLICATION:
Do not shake. Do not thin or dilute. Stir well before and occasionally
during use. AcraClear appears opaque in container, but dries
crystal clear. Product may be applied with a sprayer or a high
quality synthetic bristle brush. For best results, apply a very
thin first coat in one direction with wood grain. DO NOT OVER
BRUSH. Allow to dry at least two hours, then sand with fine
sandpaper (220 grit) and remove all dust. Apply next coat. Allow
two hours drying time between each coat. (Two to three coats
are recommended.) After final coat, surface willbe ready for
light handling in four hours.
Drying Time: One to two hours depending on film
thickness, temperature and humidity.
Coverage: First coat 200-300 square feet per gallon
depending on wood texture and porosity. Each addiitonal coat
is 400-500 square feet per gallon.
Clean Up: Clean brushes immediately after use with
soap and water.
